God as the Doer: Omnicyclic Safety and the Garden of the Mind

September 6, 2025 admin Comments 0 Comment

In the spirit of childlike wonder and wisdom, we invite you to listen to Fred Rogers’ timeless words in the remix “Garden of Your Mind.” His gentle call — “Did you ever grow anything in the garden of your mind?” — harmonizes with the Omnicyclic teaching that our thoughts and actions are like seeds. What we nurture grows, and what we neglect withers. You can watch the tribute here: Garden of Your Mind.

In the Omnicyclic view, God is not distant, partial, or divided. God is the One who is All Things — 100% of everything that exists, the living totality of the universe. Every movement, every action, every breath is contained within this great Whole. Because God is the Doer of all deeds, nothing ever escapes divine reality.

This understanding leads to a profound truth: we are completely safe in all eternity, no matter how hectic life becomes. Storms may come, societies may change, our bodies may falter — but beneath every surface lies the same infinite foundation. To know that God moves through all things is to know that we are held, always.

Yet this safety is not an invitation to drift into passivity. A garden left untended does not thrive. In Omnicyclion, the human mind is compared to a living garden. It is our task to cultivate it with care:

  • planting seeds of learning,
  • watering them with curiosity,
  • training them with critical thinking,
  • and pruning away the noxious weeds of error, false belief, or harmful action.

When we neglect this inner garden, confusion and stagnation grow. But when we actively tend it, the mind becomes fertile ground for wisdom, compassion, and creative action in the world.

The paradox is simple yet liberating: God is the Doer of all things, yet we are called to live attentively, responsibly, and with clarity of thought. Just as a gardener cannot control the rain or the seasons, but can still shape the soil, we too shape our minds and our small corner of the world in partnership with the One who is All.

The Omnicyclic path is therefore one of trust and vigilance: trust, because all is God, and vigilance, because the weeds of error must be continually pulled — within us, and outward into society. This balance keeps us both safe and awake, both surrendered and responsible.

In this way, we live in peace with eternity while walking wisely through time.
