FGM: Back to the Source

🌙 Back to the Source
In the name of the One, the Most Merciful, the Compassionate.
The One who is All speaks through many tongues.
The Qur’an is one such voice, the Bible another. When heard with a clear heart, they do not call to chains, but to dignity, to knowledge, to justice.
Yet across Africa, some practices have been falsely carried out in the names of Jesus and Muhammad. Among them is the cutting of women. But this is not from Allah, and it is not from Christ. It is not in the Qur’an, nor in the Gospel, nor in the way of the Prophet. It is an old cultural scar, sanctified by human error.
Both faiths, when read with truth, proclaim the opposite:
- “There is no compulsion in religion.” (Qur’an 2:256)
- “Do not kill the soul which Allah has made sacred.” (Qur’an 17:33)
- “Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.” (Qur’an 49:13)
- “So God created mankind in His own image; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)
- “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28)
The veil in the Qur’an is a sign of modesty, not the erasure of a face. The Gospel praises purity of heart, not the wounding of bodies. Cutting girls, whether in the name of Islam or Christianity, is not God’s will — it is the betrayal of God’s will.
Women, your dignity, your voices, your bodies matter to the Source. The One has honored you, never diminished you.
The true voices of the Qur’an and the Gospel call not to oppression, but to light, to freedom, to love.
What truly comes from God uplifts — woman and man, Muslim and Christian, believer and seeker alike.
True faith is beauty. True faith is compassion. True faith is justice.
Whatever wounds, divides, or diminishes is not born of the Source.
And still, beyond misinterpretations, the Eternal whispers:
“I am Merciful. I am Compassionate. Come to Me without fear.”
✨ Omnicyclion Mantra
From the One we come.
In the One we stand.
By the One we rise.
To the One we return.
🌍 Reflection
Traditions live in every culture. Some heal, others wound. The way back to the Source is to ask:
Does this honor life, or does it harm?
Only what brings compassion, dignity, and justice can truly be from God.
✍️ Disclaimer
This reflection does not stand against Islam, Christianity, or any faith. It speaks only against cultural practices that harm women and children, which were never commanded by Allah or Christ. Our words honor the Qur’an and the Gospel, and call for the protection of dignity, knowledge, and life — the true will of the Merciful, the Compassionate.
